would someone type me? :)
***How old are you? What's your gender? Give us a general description of yourself.***
im a 16 year old junior in high school -- im a girl! ok, so im very very energetic... i like to be the center of attention in a conversation i guess, and im always always laughing. internally, im high strung... very anxious about my grades, especially. im kind of cluttered... but i always know where everything i need is. im obsessive about things (for example, politics, books, fandoms!!!! or when i have a crush on someone, i can't stop thinking about them).
***Is there a medical diagnosis that may impact your mental stability somehow?***
nope! im mentally well right now :)
***Describe your upbringing. Did it have any kind of religious or structured influence? How did you respond to it?***
my family is fantastic; i love them, even though we obviously have fights every now and then. i normally don't fight with my parents; my siblings are the ones who get into conflicts. my family is very religious, but they never forced me to be -- i just adopted their faith and made it my own. my religion pretty much impacts almost every second of my day. i feel its prescence all of the time.
***What do you do as a job or as a career (if you have one)? Do you like it? Why or why not?***
im a student. i love it! not only do i love hanging out with my friends, but i love to learn things. i love history, english, french, science, even my electives... i really like to learn things in class. the only subject i hate is math. it's just so... boring.
***If you had to spend an entire weekend by yourself, how would you feel? Would you feel lonely or refreshed?***
first two hours: im feeling great! i get to catch up on my reading or watch a few tv shows.
next 3 hours: getting a little bored, but i can still push through...
the rest of the weekend: oh my gosh im so bored i want to talk to someone please let me out
***What kinds of activities do you prefer? Do you like, and are you good at sports? Do you enjoy any other outdoor or indoor activities?***
i run cross country and track in my school. honestly, running is my life. i'm pretty good at it -- i compete at a high level. not only do i love the competitive aspect of running, but i love to feel in shape. along with running, i also like to lift weights. i like outdoor activities... swimming, going on hikes (especially really hard, dangerous ones/ones that don't have well marked trails so i can explore) and bike riding are all up my alley.
im super into indoor activities, too. i love love LOVE to write... creating stories and developing worlds is so fun. i love to read, too... because reading stories and enveloping myself in other worlds is just as addictive. im part of a ton of fandoms, so there's that, too...
***How curious are you? Do you have more ideas then you can execute? What are your curiosities about? What are your ideas about - is it environmental or conceptual, and can you please elaborate?***
umm... yes, i would say that im curious. this is a hard question to answer, but i'll try. im mainly curious about why things are or how things came to be. for example, why are different nations less industrialized then others? why do different nations have different cultures? how did cultures come to be? how did languages come to be? how did someone create the idea of paper? did they look at a tree and say, "oh wow, if i chop this up, i'll make paper?" im also extremely curious about space and the deep sea. like, there's almost a whole universe out there that we don't know about. and time travel? and parallel universes??? did someone say that they're completely plausible??? wild.
as a kid, i always developed ideas that weren't possible to bring to fruition. for example, as a kid, i always wanted to make a robot... even before i knew what a rube goldberg machine was, i'd try to take marbles and make an intense contraption that would never work. my ideas are a lot more realistic now.
***Would you enjoy taking on a leadership position? Do you think you would be good at it? What would your leadership style be?***
i like to be in control. in group projects, i often feel uncomfortable when im not in the leadership position, just because i dont trust people to do their part right. however, as a leader, i am kind of non-confrontational. instead of criticizing someone's work, i would rather let them do it themselves and then edit it as i see fit... or better yet, redo it entirely. i would never openly criticize someone's work, though.
Are you coordinated? Why do you feel as if you are or are not? Do you enjoy working with your hands in some form? Describe your activity?
hahahahahahah no, im a klutz. next question!
Are you artistic? If yes, describe your art? If you are not particular artistic but can appreciate art please likewise describe what forums of art you enjoy. Please explain your answer.
i love art, and im a creative person... but i can not draw or paint for my life. because of this, i've turned to digital art (like photoshop) in order to express myself.
***What's your opinion about the past, present, and future? How do you deal with them?***
the past: im often very, very nostalgic. this is weird... but i even sometimes miss my life from 6 months ago. i also get this weird thing where im nostalgic for the past ive never been in. for example, i'll see a sepia picture or hear music from the past or read something in my history book... and i'll get intense nostalgia, although i've never been there. i know. weird.
the present: i wish i could live in the present more. :( i don't. but i'm trying.
the future: i very much live in the future. im always either excited for something or nervous for something... im always thinking about my future, about getting into college, about getting a good job, or even, on the small scale, about doing well on a track meet.
***How do you act when others request your help to do something (anything)? If you would decide to help them, why would you do so?***
i love helping others. i don't know if it's because i like making people happy, or if, more selfishly, i like feeling helpful... probably a mixture of both. i kind of automatically help others. someone will ask for something, and i'll automatically say that i'll help them, and then i'll later realize i don't have the time or resources to help them... and then, i'll have to put my needs after theirs. it's not even on purpose... it just happens.
***How important is efficiency and productivity to you?***
im a perfectionist. everything i do has to be perfect. finishing things on time, and making sure i have a quality product, is necessary. however, the efficiency at which i get it done does not matter. im a MAJOR procrastinator and often finish projects at 2 am the night before they're due... it doesn't matter to me, as long as i get a high grade.
***What is your learning style? What kind of learning environments do you struggle with most? Why do you like/struggle with these learning styles? Do you prefer classes involving memorization, logic, creativity, or your physical senses?***
i like words. if a teacher were to give me notes, i wouldn't want flashy pictures, or charts or tables... no, i'd want words, spilled out in front of me -- a block of text. the best for me is taking my own notes... writing helps me absorb the information. i hate when teachers give me notes to "fill in the blanks." i also hate learning by doing... for example, in science, i hate laboratory experiments. i am pretty good at memorizing things... but my main skill set is reading between the lines and understanding the big picture ideas. i hate math because of the minute details... i always make careless mistakes, like forgetting the negatives.
***How good are you at strategizing? Do you easily break up projects into manageable tasks? Or do you have a tendency to wing projects and improvise as you go?***
hahahaha no, i wing projects.
***What are your aspirations in life, professionally and personally?***
i want to have a high GPA, and go to a good college. i want to be an author/novelist and maybe go into policy. personally? i want to have friends. i want to fall in love (im a hopeless romantic!)
***What are your fears? What makes you uncomfortable? What do you hate? Why?***
oh, gosh...
ok, so first, the idea that nothing in life matters. that we're here, and we die, and nothing we do makes a difference. failure also terrifies me. a new fear i've been having is that im boring, and extremely uninteresting. obviously, like all teenagers, that none of my friends actually like me. and im of course scared of spiders.
***How attached are you to reality? Do you daydream often, or do you pay attention to what's around you? If you do daydream, are you aware of your surroundings while you do so?***
ah ok, so i used to daydream a lot? and im not sure if it's because im becoming more boring, or if im older, or if i simpy have more on my plate... but i don't anymore. i have to force myself to day dream.
***Imagine you are alone in a blank, empty room. There is nothing for you to do and no one to talk to. What do you think about?***
again, thinking about this makes me uncomfortable... i don't know if i have any interesting thoughts. honestly? i would be trying to get out. if i couldn't, i would be thinking about what i would do when i get out.
***How long do you take to make an important decision? And do you change your mind once you've made it?***
i take a long time. but once i make up my mind, there's no changing it.
***How long do you take to process your emotions? How important are emotions in your life?***
emotions are incredibly important in my life. im horrible at interpreting them. i never know what im truly feeling, and my emotions change every day. i never fully process my emotions... every day, im reevaluating.
***Do you ever catch yourself agreeing with others just to appease them and keep the conversation going? How often? Why?***
no. see, i think staying true to myself is important. my opinions, my beliefs, should not be defined by who im talking to. making people uncomfortable is sometimes important, too... and if someone doesn't respect me because of my beliefs, i shouldn't be friends with them. also, i think a conversation is interesting if you don't agree with the other person.
***Do you break rules often? Do you think authority should be challenged, or that they know better? If you do break rules, why?***
im a goody two shoes. i think most rules should be abided by... but authority isn't always right. if the rules are morally wrong, they should be broken and protested against.
