LifeProof, life tested...

So I need to shout-out to the LifeProof Next case on my Pixel 3 XL today.

I was hit at an intersection (other driver hit ice while trying to stop for a stop sign) and turned 90 and did a barrel roll (I don't remember typing it into my search engine..?) while continuing along my original trajectory.

The inside of my car looked like it had been blended and yet there my phone sat, on the passenger floorboard (it was forcibly removed from it's dash mount when I was hit I assume) intact, not a crack to be seen.

Now I don't know exactly how durable the 3XL is without a case but being a glass sandwich I wouldn't expect it to bounce around a rolling car and survive so I'll give LifeProof the credit.

Also, I'm fine. This, my phone being ok, was not my first thought, far from it, but as I was taking inventory of things at the end of today (after leaving the hospital with no major issues, minor concussion and scrape on my head from meeting the roof) while cleaning out the car at the tow company yard (it likely will be written off as totaled) it really hit me how bad of shape the car was in and what I and everything in it went though. And I'm happy to say LifeProof seems to have helped me in one way today.

TL;DR: was in rollover accident, realized while cleaning out car at tow yard how much everything went though, Pixel 3 XL was still intact after all that, didn't expect that from glass sandwich, happy that LifeProof Next case seems to have done it's job.

If you want a good case I highly recommend the LifeProof Next!
