Weird pattern happening with electric organ keyboard
I got an electric keyboard for $20, the bass pedals and the lower keyboard and drums all work perfectly fine, but the top keyboard is doing something strange, and I don't know what's causing it.
Each key only makes noise when it is in a specific place in a pattern that is a repetition of 8. And this pattern changes, but when the key does play, the sound is fine.
For example, if you keep pressing one singular key multiple times, it might be a four on four off pattern, so press it four times, there will be no sound, but after that you press for four times and there is sound. Sometimes it is 2 on, 1 off, 1 on, 3 off, like this [11010100] where ones represent the key making sound. and it's always in repetitions of 8, and you can change the pattern by disconnecting then reconnecting the singular connector for that keyboard.
A friend said that the problem might be in the connectors, so pulling them in and out a few times might do away with any dust or corrosion or whatever, but after doing this to every connector in the board at least three times, the problem is still there.
Any ideas? Thanks.
