Questions about join spouse in the Air Force!

Hello I need some advices or personal experiences anyone had with join spouse assignments in the Air Force!

My husband and I got married about a week ago while he was here on leave in Minot where I’m currently stationed after he graduated tech school. He got his orders to Lakenheath and left yesterday and I’ve updated my information at the DEERS office here in Minot and he plans to do the same when he gets to England.

My question is does anyone know how the join spouse would work in our situation? Next year July would be my one year at this base and we’re not sure how it would work. I know that join spouse is not a guarantee but we just want to know the possibilities.
