Today one of my students taught me to code!

I’m a 4th/5th grade teacher. I’ve been promoting Computer Science week and trying out activities with them- but I’ve never learned much about coding nor I have done it before. I do think it’s important for the students to be doing though.

Today I sat down and had a kid teach me how to code on code.org. I got through quite a few levels and did 100+ lines of code! Not that big of a deal, but I was pretty excited to learn something new that they were able to teach me. I’m glad I took that 15 minutes to do some learning myself, too.
