Quit my job today
So, I finally did - I quit my job no more than an hour ago, and I feel a huge wave of relief. At least that’s what I’m telling myself. I’ve been with this company since the very start, and was one of the few original employees still remaining up until today. I loved the work, but management was toxic.
I don’t have another job lined up, and my roommates and I are about to sign the lease on a new apartment. Plus the holidays too. Man life was simpler way back then. I keep telling myself this l is relief. I don’t entirely believe that. I do believe I’ll persevere, though however difficult the next couple weeks are.
Funny. I started this post in an attempt to get others to rally behind me saying “ya fuck that job!”, but as I continue to write this I’m starting to doubt what I really want. Maybe just someone to hear this.
I quit my job today, and although I don’t feel the way I want to about it, I think I’ll be alright
