RB750Gr3 Wan speed stuck at 250down/300up

Hey all, new to this group, I've done some networking and IPTables but I am by no means an expert.

So...moved to my new home in April, it was built wired for Cat5e with about 6 ports across the house and I had Verizon FIOS available, so said "Hell yes, I want it, hell no I don't want your equipment"

After some significant research I bought the Hex RB750Gr3 and this TPLink unmanaged switch - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A121WN6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Now, when I first got my equipment back in april, connected and configured it (very little to do actually) I did a speed test on ookla and was pulling 940 down / 880 up pretty much regularly regardless of which nearby server I picked - just like Verizon advertised, hurray!

Fast forward to about 2 months ago I started noticing some slow downs in my tv's amazon prime connection (running wired). I went to run another speedtest and saw my speed had dropped.

I restarted the router. Nothing. Made sure firmware was up-to-date. It was. Made sure fasttrack rules were active and had majority of bandwidth running through it. Yes and yes. I've got no VPNs running (currently). CPU load is close to 1% when not actively processing transfers, and free memory is 211/256 MiB.

Running out of things to troubleshoot, hope you guys might have a direction to point me in. I've considered that Verizon is simply throttling me out of spite for not paying for their equipment, but I want to confirm that everything is 1000% good with my configs before I point the finger at them. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: SOLVED! IT WAS THE FREAKING CAT5E CABLE!!!

Long story short, took a laptop down to my garage, plugged into the ONT, 880/880. So I thought "hurm, why isn't this happening from my desktop upstairs?"

Thank you all for your diligent help in solving this very simple and stupid problem....off to home depot to get a 50 ft run of cat 5e...

EDIT #2: aaaaaaand apparently I was wrong...I'm beginning to think there are ghosts living in my freaking router...

EDIT #3: After just not pursuing this for a while, I decided, since my wife is out, to just test it again. Here are my speeds. https://imgur.com/a/AqE2bNa

I've literally done nothing and it fixed itself...I swear there are ghosts in my wires torturing me...consider this closed...thanks everyone for your help.
