Has anyone managed to complete the Hold The Fort challenge?

As part of the Tides of War challenges, I can't seem to complete Hold The Fort. You need to kill one enemy with a stationary weapon, which I've done with a stationary machine gun as well as an AA, but it doesn't complete.

Can anyone shed any light on this? Is it a bug, or am I missing something?
