Should I keep playing HITMAN 1 or just play the HITMAN 2 legacy pack?
Got HITMAN GOTY edition when it went on sale a while back, and been playing the absolute shit out of it in every moment of free time I have. Getting GOTY edition means I can play the legacy pack in 2 which of course remasters and updates all the levels from 1, adding any HITMAN 2 features. Basically now I'm unsure whether to spend my valuable time trying to fully complete HITMAN 1 or start playing them in HITMAN 2 and completing those. After playing the prologue in the 2 legacy pack I've noticed, A. it doesn't run as smooth on my PC and have to lock it at 30 fps rather than 60 for it to be stable, and B. that the levels have some fairly significant changes, some seemingly more difficult and others seemingly more easy. One thought I have is that the sniper suitcase in 2 makes Sniper Assassin challenge absolutely trivial, where in 1 you had to use the right smuggling location or be extra sneaky if you have to get the sniper past a bunch of npcs.
I know it's kind of a silly predicament to have, but I'm just curious what the playerbase's thoughts are on the differences in these maps between 1 and 2 legacy pack.
-Are the maps and game mechanics so improved that there's no reason to play them in HITMAN 1 anymore?
-Is Sniper Assassin stupid easy in 2 on these maps?
-Is it worthwhile doing all the escalations that aren't in 2? Some of them have been kinda fun.
-Is it worth completing HITMAN and ALSO playing the legacy pack later on because it's different enough to provide a whole new experience??
Lemme hear your thoughts because I'm incapable of making important life decisions like.....what video game to waste my life playing lol
Edit: Oh, also, doesn't the crowd blending feature make these maps in Hitman 2 legacy pack easier than the originals as well?
