Season reward glitch.

So I was helping my friends level up in seasons because they just got the game, and one of them was looking at their collection and had gotten the Season 3 Pennant and Portrait Frame from out of nowhere, wondering if it is a glitch of some sorts that he somehow got it from me or something since I played back then. Has anyone else experienced something like this before?
