Would my chromebook pro be able to do 1440p 144hz with usbc to dp adapter?

Have a nice gaming monitor that I don't really use for games much anymore. Hdmi dock maxes out at 60hz from what I can tell. Just wonder if this chromebook can handle a higher framerate if I get a dp adapter, or should I not bother?
