Suggestion for Apple Pencil 2018 and forward

If possible, Apple should implicate a holding feature rather than a double tap to be able to switch quicker between two modes or methods. One feature where this works perfect is for artistic creation, where you normally have a brush as a default and holding down the side could allow you to erase until you release your pressure. I'd like to have that as an option because constantly double tapping seems like a huge hassle for me to switch between for a $130 pencil. If I just make a small error then I need to fully switch the mode I am in rather than temporarily activating said mode for erasing for a moment. Thoughts?
