Becoming a poker waitress?

I’ve been needing a job that offers quick cash. I was thinking about apply as a waitress at a strip club when I found a posting on Craigslist needing a Waitress to pass out food and alcohol at a private card game for 500$ a night. While that sounds sketchy it got me wondering if that’s a real thing? A friend of a friend once told me about this gig she had that sounded pretty similar. But that was ages ago and I don’t have her contact information. Anyone have experience with this in the LA area? Or have any stories?
