Waterfox and Speed Dial [FVD]

Is anyone using Waterfox with Speed Dial [FVD]? Lately, I've had to refresh the page so that the dials would appear. Has anyone experienced and solved that issue?

Also, is there a way to start the browser with the URL bar blank instead of containing "moz-extension" followed by the address of the dial page?
