We need to stop praising mediocrity in children.

Today, I feel we praise children as if they can't handle any sort of constructive criticism. We tell children they're doing great in a desperate effort to build them up, like we're afraid to dent their egos. Also, can we stop with these "kindergarten graduations" and so on? You get your moment of glory when you graduate high school, nothing too ridiculous or formal beforehand. You can't make kids feel too special after every little accomplishment then be surprised when they turn out a little brat. As a teen today, I've seen this crap happen.
