[NS] Inspired by NADDPOD: The Player Intrusion Podcast!

After almost a year of work and preparation, I am finally announcing my new Actual Play podcast, Player Intrusion. Shortly after NADDPOD began I decided, inspired by this, to create my own Actual Play podcast. I hadn't even known about Actual Play podcasts or played DnD before NADDPOD started, and it got me hooked. Now I play and DM DnD, but Player Intrusion takes place in a different system, in a different setting.

Player Intrusion takes place amongst a sky world where communities live on quantum locked platforms, called Locks. The players, living in a small community called Serabus, gain help in return for paying taxes to a larger nearby Lock referred to as a Mega. Unable to afford the tax, our three yet-to-be adventurers must embark on a mission to save their Lock. Our heroes include:

  • Alse Nimbus, a bartender afraid of her own power just trying to get by
  • Bingus McDingus, a standup comedian who sees what others can't looking for more in life
  • Cairus Deus Daal, a surgeon and inventor who seeks to help save his town even if he has to put himself at great risk to do so.

This entire campaign is inspired by the idea of the importance of choice. The players determine who lives in their town, they get to scout out and decide where they go (outside of the tutorial adventure), and every decision they make or ignore matters and is important. Yet alongside that, there will still be many goofs and ridiculously fun moments to be had alongside the intense story.

Player Intrusion: An Actual Play podcast about a community and the three people who put their lives and worlds at stake to keep it afloat, literally.

The podcast launches on DECEMBER 11 at 7AM PT, and will have a new episode EVERY TUESDAY (because no good Actual Play podcasts seem to release on Tuesdays).

(I hope it's ok to post this here as this whole thing was inspired from listening to Naddpod, but I understand if self-promotion is discouraged.)
