Building with a Custom Heatsink

Build Help

I'm looking to put a custom heatsink on a LGA 1151 motherboard with a i7-8700 (non-K version) processor. I know it's only 65 W and not difficult to cool even on a mini-ITX machine, but you can consider me as a cooling enthusiast geek (sort of).

My question is, how would I go installing such a custom heatsink? I've been looking at tutorials and there doesn't seem to be much in the way of using custom heatsinks. I'm pretty sure you have to use brackets or some kind of plating to put it into place. Are there other factors I need to consider in successfully installing one?

Here's an example of one I was looking at. It's labeled as a Skylake Heatsink, so I would assume it would fit with the correct plating. It's out of stock for the moment, but just to give you an idea.
