Perscribed 30mg of Valium and 2mg of Xanax a day. Too much?

My doc has perscribed 30mg of Valium a day ( spread over 3 doses) and 2mg of Xanax as needed everday. Before the script change i was takimg 2mg of xanax twice daily. Is this considered an unusally high dose? Perscribed for anxiety related to panic attacks and ptsd. In Ontario, Canada.
