Does anyone know anything about the "Cloud Architect" role?
I'm a college senior and because business and technology are my two favorite things and I don't want to just be a SWE, I aspire to be in product management (and am looking at a few entry-level positions)
I was contacted by a recruiter at Microsoft stating:
I'm part of the Microsoft Aspire Experience (MAE), formally known as the MACH
I'm working on a role within out Technical consulting team that I thought your background could make you a good fit for, the role is for a Cloud Solutions Architect. As a CSA, you will be a strategic advisor to Microsoft’s enterprise customers and partners helping them optimize their business performance and be on the front line dedicated to solving their technical challenges
This just sounds like a more technical sales engineering job that probably lacks upward mobility in the company. My dream is to be a leader and make decisions.
What do you fellows think I should do when I aspire to be in either product or project management? I'd love to work my way up to be a key leader at a large tech company.
