Connecting xbox one to old bose stero

I have a t.v. with no aux output or digital audio ouput that is connected to my xbox one via HDMI. I'm looking to connect the audio to an older bose model speaker that only has an aux input. I tried rca to aux from the t.v. to the speaker and had no luck. Any ideas on how i can make this work?
