Can we fix barricade deployment in blackout?

Everytime I'm tryna deploy a barricade in a gunfight in the desert it never deploys first try, even on smooth ground. I've died several times due to this, since the barricade is meant to be reliable cover, I feel that it should deploy more consistently.
