Apartment Complex wants parking back payment

Received and email from my leasing office this evening stating that i had not been paying my $200 parking fee for the last 7 months. Now they're asking for $1400 on the next billing cycle (the 15th). Seems ridiculous to me. I should have noticed my payments not being as high as they should have... but i didn't. Damn auto pay. My billing statements never had the charge and i have always paid in full.

I plan on speaking to the office tomorrow, maybe we can work out some reasonable payment plan but what do i do if they stick to this course of action? Is there anything i can do since this is their fault for not posting the charge, not mine?

With the holidays and my new masters program all happening in the next 30 days this is a tough pill to swallow.
