The paperwork says they aren't a coalition, despite it being in thier name...
damn you, I was just going to point that out too.
Saw that too....
How is that legal?
"Law's for thee, not for me"
We should work to make them famous for this. This stinks enough some media might bite.
They take the money that we pay in for taxes and use that money against us.
Is it any wonder why we’re so jaded and disgruntled? Not only do they want to strip us of our privilege, we ultimately foot the bill for their efforts.
Figuratively speaking, we’re being forced to tie our own hanging rope. If the situation was reversed, you can bet that this would make headlines.
If it was any other industry / community, it would make headlines.
Everyone in Canada gave them a penny
Yep, a penny here...a penny there...70% of your income later...it's just a penny guise.
Client: COALITION FOR GUN CONTROL
Coalition: The client is not a coalition.
Huh?
I lol'ed
Tfw you pay lobbyists to lobby you
Tfw you pay lobbyists to lobby AGAINST you.
Fixed it for you.
Why are we paying for this?
From @gun_control_ca on Twitter
Do these guys have any grass roots support whatsoever, or is it all just an excuse to skim off of government funds?
Was this a one-time thing in 2002, or has it happened again?
This is from 2002.
Wtfudge!!!
may want to add "...in 2002" to the title unless it happened again?
Mods should tag the post as such.
lol, this is from 2002. 16 YEARS AGO. Why is this being posted? I understand we're all bit sensitive with the whole gun control debate right now but posting this is silly and misleading.
Link to where we can look this up? I have some names I'd like to check up on...
This got written about in April 2017 by our favourite gun blogger. And it's absolutely absurd.
How much did gun advocating groups get from the government that year?
Ashamed to have this coalition so close from home. We paid to get bent over.
Anyone want to bet this is a Soros backed organization?
2002, and if I recall correctly, they took that money and made a sizeable donation to the Liberal party. It was standard practice before donation limits were introduced.
Lol hold guns to the public head saying this money is the government's. Government says gee let's fund political groups run by our friends. Political groups funnel the money back to the political party so they can win more elections.
Democracy working as intended. Great job Canadians!
Yup. The Conservatives laundered billions this way too, I can't imagine anyone didn't while it was legal.
They act like opponents but they have more in common than not.
How much was the donation?
I believe it was ridiculously close to the grant.
