Simple suggestion to fix honor a bit

The biggest issue with honor right now is people rewarding skill, not honorable behavior. To fix this, just create an additional kind of honor vote for those people, somethinkg like 'carried the fak out of us'. This way you can separate that kind of feedback from the actual honorable behavior and you can even give differentiated rewards.

Maybe you could even vote for the most honorable and the most skillful player simultanously.

I honor people that keep their mouth shut and play every game, even if they are feeding or smt. Yes I will honor the hard carry if they deserve it, but honestly I never honor based of how well people placed.

Maybe I am alone with that though.

To be fair though, I feel like it doesn’t matter how many honors anyone gets, as long as everyone in the game honors. Play relatively constantly throughout the entire season and don’t type and you will easily reach honor 5 by like 2/3rds of the season.

You're not alone. I honor the quiet ones and the ones that build "for the team" as opposed to building for damage or carrying. I'd rather honor the guy in ARAM that builds full tank, front-lines for us, and dies rather than the OTP Master Yi who gets fed and wrecks.

The guy who hard carries is way more honorable to me than the guy who said 'come on guys we can still do this'.

I’ve wanted this since the beginning of the system, and it would be a great idea, with only one flaw - the icons would have to be small for each person.

Honestly I regret the possibility to honor people from the other team, it was a real mark of spirit and sportsmanship.

Like being able to honor someone who carried enemy team or stomped you in lane but stayed classy or even gave you advices on how to improve ( yes it exist, or it existed not sure anymore ^^)

Now the only thing you can do is report ( for absolutely no result ) the "gg ez" and emote spamers ( i mark SPAM because of course one or two emotes on a outplay shouldn't make you tilt )

Rito, cmon, you know you have to.

Edit : gonna make this a new post

I honor people that keep it cool while others flame them, people that did some fun plays or were entertaining.. or someone that managed to get us out of sht by a game of chances. If there's nothing to rely on, then just honor by performance

Your suggestion sounds good, I would also add honoring opponent.. if someone gave me a good spanking, I need to commend them for it

This is actually a sweet idea.

Honor/ MVP you pick both after the game. MVP can pick yourself.

I dont get this, if you go 20/2, im honoring you because i respect your skill, i dont care how nice you are if you didn't help me win the game. Im sure others feel the same, i dont care how nice anyone is, i care about winning the damn game and nothing else.

Honor is not about what you care, it's about not being a dick.

I dont care "what honor is about", im going to give my honor to who helped us win the most, regardless of what riot wants. They're a multi billion dollar company, they can live with that.

wat? are you 7?

No, i just dont care about the wishes of a corporation. Riot gave me a system and im going to use it how i please as long as I can do it like that, I have 0 reason to care what their intentions of the system is. If you want to use honor "how it's intended", you do you, but there's no reason to shame me for doing me unless again, you legitimately care about the feelings of a multi billion dollar corporation. In which case, you have serious bootlicking syndrome.
