Temporary crown temporarily loose?

Hi all,

English is not my first language so I don't know most of the dentistry terms, but I'll try to explain.

Last week I started the process of getting a crown and right now there is a temporary crown until the real one is made. Today while flossing I got the feeling that the temporary crown popped loose for a second. I panicked and pushed it back in and right now it seems to be back in place. I am afraid of moving it or really checking if it is loose because it might then actually fall out. The new crown will not be ready until next year.

Am I overreacting or should I go to the dentist to have this checked out?
