Verizon won't add CDMA-less

Just got my RP2 (finally!), but if I try activate it through the "Activate or switch device", Verizon will remove my $25 line access discount. So I called support and talked to Level 2, but apparently the phone doesn't have the "CDMA-less" feature that can be turned on, they "can only" add it through activation. And needless to say, SMS doesn't work without it. Does anyone have any tips of how (I can tell) support to achieve this?
