[Speculation] Modern prices going forward

Note: This is all purely speculation and I have no evidence of anything. Anyone using this post as advice is an idiot.

I have a gut feeling that modern prices will go down in the near-ish future. Why?

1. Modern has been one of the most popular formats in the past couple of years. Wizards is dumping money into arena, which will most likely never support Modern.

2. Wizards will most likely create a new "post-modern" format that will be supported on Arena. If this is the case, I see this format gaining popularity over Modern due to ease of access and cash/e-sports support.

While Modern is a fun format with a very diverse meta, I cannot see it maintaining its current popularity if the above occurs.
