PS4: Is it just me or have scratch marks gotten more wonky?

I don't know if this is the new engine and lighting or my already poor eyesight, but I'm finding I can as reliably track scratch marks after this update. The colour seems lighter and less visible to me, along with them seeming to spread out more. I mean if it's me then I'm getting my bloody prescription checked.
