What attracted me to Youjo senki

If you are a long time anime viewer, then you would have noticed a common or reoccurring theme when an empire is introduced.....They are ALMOST ALWAYS the Bad guys. Really, when this is averted such as in Strike witches or Alderamin no Sky, I am genuinely surprised. The Empire characters are almost all portrayed as mororinc. greedy, needlessly brutal or cartoonishly evil. Here however we have a more realist take on an empire with likable and relatable characters, not only that, but the aesthetic of the empire from the military to the flags and such is very appealing to a history and empire supporter like me.

I only wish more anime studios will take note and produce more anime with from the perspective of the empire, since its 's such a niche there is alot that can be done with it. For example you could have an isekai where Imperial Germany under the kaiser and have them dealing with it. And for those who are interested for more manga and anime that portray an imperial viewpoint, here are a few suggestions :

- Alderamin no Sky

- pumpkin Scissors

And thats about is.....Told you they were rare. Anyway I would like to hear your thoughts on this matter, it will be a good way to pass the time until the next translation. You could also provide your own scenarios of how you would portray empires fictional or otherwise.

Thank you
