Differences in hunting between northen europe and north america

Hi! Finnish guy here intrested in the difference in hunting.

Hunting elks: It's my understanding that you can't use dog when hunting elks? In Finland its the most common way to hunt. I don't see other reason to think it's bad than letting the dog run day in and day out. Also stalking is common and and also having hunters in thin line while unarmed people drive the elks toward the hunters. Elk tickets: I guess you have limitations how many elks and deers you can shoot and it is personal licence? Here you can shoot as many deers as you want but elk requires a ticket. Those tickets are spread among hunting crews and they have to arrange the rest among them selves. Also hunting is mainly population control and no trophy hunting, but its much more common in north america?

If you have something to ask. I like to answer if I can.
