Is there nothing you can do if the Piranha Plant code doesn't come?

I registered the game on launch and haven't gotten my code yet, so I tried contacting Nintendo customer service. I called the number and the first thing they say after choosing Switch is about Piranha Plant, so clearly it's a big issue, and they just say that it'll show up in up to 10 days. Since that didn't happen am I kinda screwed or what?
