I need to create a lesson plan and I have not done this before

Heya! I have to develop a lesson plan for a 1-hr tutoring session to improve an adults reading level from grade 4 to grade 6.

I've never done this before, so I'm not exactly sure where to begin. For starters, is there a resource that discusses what people at a certain reading level can read? I imagine if I knew what material I needed to teach I could develop a plan, although an hour is tough.

Anyway, any ideas would be appreciated, I have to present this Monday evening!
