If any of you have had travel situations, what do you prefer?

Ive been in the store for a new PC or laptop for awhile, but I do travel quite a bit where I bring my current laptop. I was thinking either the Aleinware 17, since it is also VR ready, or building a pc or buying one online. I would like to hear everybodys elses options they have done please let me know.
