Why do Jews wash their hands in the morning?
I have read mainly only Genesis and Exodus so I don't know too much of the commandants of the Law but I was wondering if this is something found in the Torah or the oral Law? I know about washing hands before eating bread but I saw a video where a Jewish kid, as soon as he woke up, took some sort of pot with water and washed his hands (I think feet too)
What is this and what is the scriptural (or non-scriptural) source for this?
Thanks and Happy Hanukkah.
