Transferring to McCombs? (External)
Hello! I am hoping I’m posting this in the right place. I am currently an out of state freshman at one of my state’s smaller public universities. I’m currently a business major and I’m not receiving the education I really need. I am hoping to transfer to UT in fall of 2019 so I can get out of this school ASAP. I feel the longer I stay in the further behind I get. Obviously I would want to transfer into McCombs since I am currently a business major. Here comes my confusion. I took Applied Calculus for Business instead of Cal 1 and 2 because that is my school’s requirement. I saw that applied calculus won’t be accepted. I also have not taken macro (taking micro this spring). Since these 3 are pre reqs for McCombs... what can I do? If I can’t get in as a transfer without having those courses, I’m not sure what I would have to do to get in. Trying to cram Cal 1 and 2 into the summer prior doesn’t seem like a reality? As far as I know, I don’t have the funding to take classes this summer either. Can someone with experience in this or any idea of what to do point me in the right direction? I’d hate to have my chances squashed because of my school’s horrible math set up. I have a pretty nice GPA so that’s not the concern.
