Boric Acid Suppository bleeding?

So about a month ago I posted about having BV and the smell of my vagina being an issue with my partner. After taking the antibiotics prescribed by the doctor and the smell not going away I because really upset. I went back to the doctor multiple times and she said I never had BV anymore just a slight pH imbalance and I need to let things "work themselves out". I could not let this slide it was bothering me so much and I knew that this was the normal smell of my vagina so my pH balance must have been off for a long time. So, I took everyones advice and I bought Boric Acid Suppositories on Amazon. They took forever to get here but they finally did and I have used them the past 2 nights and noticed a great difference in my odour, it was basically non-existent! My plan has been to insert one each night for a week and then just use one occasionally for maintenance if I noticed the smell becoming stronger or after my period. However, tonight went I went to insert the capsule i noticed I was bleeding a little. I am not due for my period for 2 more weeks and I am on birth control and never breakthrough bleed. Is this something I should be worried about? I have read about this happening to others but should I discontinue use? I really don't want to stop using them since I was hoping once the week was up I would finally have a normalized pH balance and could feel confident and happy again with what is going on downstairs. Will the bleeding change the effectiveness of the capsules? I just feel a little sad because I was so excited to finally found something that worked and now I'm worried that isnt the case anymore.
