CFA Exam Level 1 for undergrads

Hello everyone,

Currently I am a second year college student with a double major in Finance & Risk management/Insurance. A goal of mine is to be a chartholder progressing through my career and I’m seeking some quick advice from those who have already passed the exam.

Would it be ideal for me to begin prepping for the level 1 exam by doing things in my free time now so by the time I graduate I have a head start of some sort? If so, what would you suggest for me to do on my free time now so when it comes my 5th school year to get my second major (risk management & Insurance) I can also take the CFA lvl 1 exam and pass?

I would love to hear some feedback for those who have already gone through this process,

Thanks!
