how to solo mule without getting temp banned?

I probably just lost tons of runes since I can't log back and my game will expire with all my runes on the floor. What I did is basically create a normal game, do some shit for 5 minutes, then log out, log in with my mule to see if game is there, leave, re join with chararacter, drop stuff on floor, quit, then when I tried to join -> kicked out of battle.net and now I can't log in.

What are the alternatives? I could use public games but last time I did this it's pretty obvious and people went and checked what I had on the floor lol.
