CS department needs to improve their clarity

I'm a second year and I've taken CS141 and 142, I'm in mechanics now, and I've SLI'd CS1 for two semesters.

I've seen countless posts in the discussions clarifying items on the write-ups. And for some reason, instead of clarifying, the professors just copy paste what the write up says and put it in italics. And then there's times professors don't agree on one uniform interpretation of these write-ups and grade their students differently based on their own interpretation, even though its the same document.

Also, exam questions versus their expectations for answers is frustrating. For example, in my midterm for mechanics, it simply asked to make a function to return an instance of a Node in a linked node structure. So I returned a node with the parameters initialized to Null, and then set them equal to something in the following question. But the original function was marked wrong because I didn't take in a parameter for data, which was never mentioned anywhere in the question. My method worked and it wasn't functionally different from what their method was. If they wanted me to initialize it with data, it should have mentioned that.

I am getting tired of there being an interpretation aspect to all of this, and also hoping that my interpretation matches what the professor interpreted it to be.

During my SLI meetings, when I mention changes to help clarify things, nothing ever comes of it. And then, inevitably, I get flooded with questions from my students asking the exact question I tried to avoid.

I understand the joke that CS professors aren't English majors. But when it comes down to grade points, that should not be taken as a joke, but more as an area to improve.
