Do we really need Ward brands on every PvP demon?

Right now, it seems like everyone assumes everyone else is running Ward brands in PvP, so either they don't bother with ailments or they run Barrier Break to nullify them, making the Ward Brands themselves kind of useless. If I take the Ward brands off my demons, I can use other useful ones, such as Aim brands, Dodge brands, or even Shield brands. What do you think?
