[Question] Should I buy a 12 string or just get a 6 string?

I want to get a 12 string guitar because i like the look and ofcourse the sound but im not 100% sure if i should actually go for it because i know with double the amount of strings, barre chords can become a little more of a challenge. I have a baritone ukulele that I play sometimes (about 3-4) times a week and although i know its not much compared to a guitar, im wondering if i could go up to a 12 string and be able to play some stuff (while ofcourse getting better with practice).

Ive had my uke for about 8 months now.
