Is it worth the extra cost?
Hey everyone,
So I am redoing my insurance policy after having full coverage on my vehicle for so long. However, after speaking with 2 different auto insurers, they recommend I stick with liability only due to the age of the vehicle as I would save in the long run as the vehicle no longer has much value.
The vehicle is a 2003 Ford Taurus, yes, a vehicle I paid very little for and now currently possesses little value. The price is $50 for a beefed up liability policy compared to $120 for full coverage. I do like the vehicle, especially being only 110K original miles and in tip top shape but is it now worth the extra money to even keep it fully covered? If it helps, I only paid $1500 for the car back when it was only 50K miles on it. I doubt it books for no more then $2500 and that is even pushing it.
