Is it possible to increase anaerobic endurance(power endurance) and anaerobic capacity whilst on a low carb diet and fasting windows between 24-36h?
From my understanding, glucose is a requirement for the activation of the fastest type muscle fibers, and therefore in a fasted ketogenic state it wouldn't be possible to use these muscle fibers - because there is no glucose stored in them to fuel them.
However, I was wondering if consuming either fat or protein before a 15-30 minute (HI/S)IT would allow my body to create the (adeauate) glucose required for these muscle fibers (fast enough) through the process of gluconeogenesis - or rather if their are other mechanisms which could be utilized.
Either that, or low carb cycling, because proficiency in the aspects of fitness relevant to the sport I am training for (boxing) are more important than fat loss for me at the minute.
