inflammation control

I am dealing with some chronic inflammation and have been on Prednisone, which helps reduce the inflammation a lot, but I hate the aggressive agitation I feel on it. I am curious if anyone has tried medical mj and does it clear inflammation to the same degree as Prednisone.
