No metadata when playing music in car with Bluetooth after upgrade to Android 9.

I have a BMW i3 and before I upgraded my phone to Android 9 beta, I could get title of album, artist and track playing on the car's screen via Bluetooth. Now it shows no metadata at all. I've tried reinstalling Deezer and re-pairing the car to my 5t. It hasn't worked. Anyone have a similar Bluetooth issue and any solutions?
