In light of the Brutus rumor I just discovered...
Link is right here, and I just wanted to create a special character named Brutus, after the rumor. No information on whether he'll be included in Blossoming City, though, which is the title of the Switch game, as 4Chan so lovingly told us.
He'd be a bulldog, not unlike Booker, but more dark and purple in tone. In other words, he'd look exactly like the dark figure in the thumbnail of the video. He'd be the subject of many an in-universe rumor (replacing those annoying rumors about you being a Bell pincher/tree chopper/whatever the f@*$, thank Serena), ranging from him having sent Wendell into his eternal coma to being involved with Lyle's daughters' deaths, and there's a small chance that he'd show up in your town if the date was Friday the 13th, but not too small.
Sometimes, on Thursday the 12th, you'll get a letter that says "Here I come!" in Binary.
If he did show up, nobody would be outside, everyone would be shivering in their houses, stuttering worriedly that they saw Brutus. Even the buildings would be closed out of fear that Brutus would use their wares nefariously! Seeing Brutus will show that he has an axe, in reference to the chopped trees many players claimed to see back in the day. All the trees surrounding him, and yes, this includes Perfect Fruit, will be chopped down too. Other times, he'll carry a fishing rod in reference to his magnificent fish display that you can't get a very good look at because he crashes your game, and he'll be fishing the river dry.
Talking to Brutus shows that, refreshingly, he's not a misunderstood sop who just wants to help you. Instead, he'll grant the following Friday the 13th with bad luck, which in this game means copious tripping and more bees than items inside trees. If you get him too angry, he'll say "Here I come!" in Binary and pull an Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem and pretend to crash your game, in response to the part of the rumor that had him say that very same thing in that very same language and crash your game for real upon inspecting his house.
If you have a four-leaf clover, whether worn or in your inventory, you'll scare Brutus quite a bit, and he'll vanish in a puff of smoke.
Brutus might even show up in Dream Towns and just put off the mood! Talking to him would force the player out and awake, worrying Luna, because she doesn't like when dreams end badly. Sadly, Brutus is entirely random, so no option to turn off a town that you saw him in.
