Zero Fan Mode possible?

I am thinking about getting a Zotac RTX 2080 Twin Fan. The Tests i find online state that the fans do not shut down during idle/ 2d application. Since i prefer to keep my PC at passive silent mode when idle/ 2d application I would like to know if it is possible to adjust the fan-speed-curve with the Firestorm software that the fans will actually stop spinning. And if so: is it recommendended and covered by warranty?
