Fi + Apple Watch (+iPhone)?

OK, I actually don't like iPhone but I really like the idea of the AppleWatch, so I was thinking that my next phone could be an iPhone + Apple Watch 4 (or 3) GPS only (not cellular since I know that Fi and Apple's eSIM are not compatible).

Is anyone else doing this?

Good? Bad? Pros? Cons? Comment of any kind?
