Is this Illegal?

I'm 17 and the other day my mom took me to see a chiropractor. He claimed I had metal in my heart by only touching my wrist and putting what looked like Mexican jumping beans on my chest (I'm not kidding). He told my mom that to remove the metal we needed to take some organic supplements. To my knowledge he wasn't anything more than a licensed chiropractor.
