Adderall =Dextro Change

Is it normal to switch, asking my psychiatrist first, between adderall and dextro? I feel the Adderall IR is not as effective as it used to be and read sometimes that it is okay to change, particularly to Procentra or another delivery content system. Otherwise IR is fine too...just wanted to see if anyone has done this or this raises red flags with my p-doc/therapist. I feel like I’m going through my 20MGs faster then ever, after 3-4 years sustained... thanks
